1.) My last show at Cervantes went pretty well. I was able to get my main point across twice, which was: "Peace is Possible...it just takes a little Love!"
Unfortunately BigTimeEntertainment cut short my set by 10 minutes. I personally think I've played for them enough, and fed them enough money to warrant the full 30 minutes that they originally promised me. It won't happen again, as I have let them know that my minimum is 30 minutes or I'm just going to keep the ticket money and throw a 45 minute set in a public place. If I play any more shows with BigTime, they will probably be my last.
They are wasting my time!
Because they cut me so short, I was unable to finish what I was trying to explain to everyone. So I left everyone with a cliche statement, that I'm sure wasn't taken to heart!
What I truly wanted to say was:
"Love is simply having the patience to understand that we are all human, and that we all make mistakes. Also that we can only learn from our mistakes, as successes only feed our ego. If we are able to exhibit this patience to the people around us, we begin to respect each other, and through respect, we can learn to love one another. And through respect we can achieve Peace!"
2.) A serious situation is right around the corner. Global cereal crops will be depleted in about 12 weeks. With energy in all it's guises so high priced, I'm guessing that we are going to have a large scale famine on our hands as the poorer populations run short on food, and places reliant on import go into serious times.
The average piece of food is shipped 1,500 miles before it is consumed. With cheap oil and coal gone, we won't be able to ship foods around the country. With the main crops about to be out-of-season, it seems that only the regions around where the food is grown will benefit from this.
I'm not even getting into all the new government initiatives to start using more of our food crops for bio-fuel crops.
Then of course we have the fresh water crisis, the population crisis, the peak oil crisis, the corrupt elite crisis...the list goes on and on...
We have inherited a laundry list of troubles from six decades of greed and a capitalist-materialist mindset...
This is going to be a VERY rough ride down...
We are all going to feel the impact at full force...
I hope you are all taking actions to prepare for this!
3.) Fallen Angel: Episode 1, the first installment of the highly anticipated animated web-series (of which I have been doing special effects animation for) has finally been given a solid release window:
Late August/Early September, 2008
Be sure to stay tuned for Euphoria Productions' venture into the post-apocalyptic!
