Oh Boy...

1.) My last show at Cervantes went pretty well. I was able to get my main point across twice, which was: "Peace is Possible...it just takes a little Love!"

Unfortunately BigTimeEntertainment cut short my set by 10 minutes. I personally think I've played for them enough, and fed them enough money to warrant the full 30 minutes that they originally promised me. It won't happen again, as I have let them know that my minimum is 30 minutes or I'm just going to keep the ticket money and throw a 45 minute set in a public place. If I play any more shows with BigTime, they will probably be my last.

They are wasting my time!

Because they cut me so short, I was unable to finish what I was trying to explain to everyone. So I left everyone with a cliche statement, that I'm sure wasn't taken to heart!

What I truly wanted to say was:

"Love is simply having the patience to understand that we are all human, and that we all make mistakes. Also that we can only learn from our mistakes, as successes only feed our ego. If we are able to exhibit this patience to the people around us, we begin to respect each other, and through respect, we can learn to love one another. And through respect we can achieve Peace!"

2.) A serious situation is right around the corner. Global cereal crops will be depleted in about 12 weeks. With energy in all it's guises so high priced, I'm guessing that we are going to have a large scale famine on our hands as the poorer populations run short on food, and places reliant on import go into serious times.

The average piece of food is shipped 1,500 miles before it is consumed. With cheap oil and coal gone, we won't be able to ship foods around the country. With the main crops about to be out-of-season, it seems that only the regions around where the food is grown will benefit from this.

I'm not even getting into all the new government initiatives to start using more of our food crops for bio-fuel crops.

Then of course we have the fresh water crisis, the population crisis, the peak oil crisis, the corrupt elite crisis...the list goes on and on...

We have inherited a laundry list of troubles from six decades of greed and a capitalist-materialist mindset...

This is going to be a VERY rough ride down...

We are all going to feel the impact at full force...

I hope you are all taking actions to prepare for this!

3.) Fallen Angel: Episode 1, the first installment of the highly anticipated animated web-series (of which I have been doing special effects animation for) has finally been given a solid release window:

Late August/Early September, 2008

Be sure to stay tuned for Euphoria Productions' venture into the post-apocalyptic!

Philosophy Regarding Our Zeit Geist

Today at work I began a conversation with a strange old woman at work. This woman, although eccentric, was an advocate for progressive thinking.

She had heard me talking to a co-worker about 9-11. I was explaining how it was a false flag attack, orchestrated and committed by our own government, to secure support for a war effort that the Bush family, among other higher ups (Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Morgans), had worked toward for years, and she approached me to discuss the state of the world and it's politics.

It was a very long conversation, covering many topics, but they all revolved around what we must do. We must be active within our community and spread the truth to the ignorant or miss-told. We discussed how the machine has gotten so large and so powerful that no one person, no matter their power, influence, or bank account, can make a dent in the machine.

She is a part of Ron Paul's organization, the Campaign for Liberty, which you should join! (www.campaignforliberty.com) They send you information on how to remain active within your community ;)
Anyway, so she was telling me how they are trying to get like-minded people into office all over the country, because simply getting a single logical president in office won't make a difference. The corruption is too great, and even the greatest of us will fall to it's temptation. I never thought about it, but it makes perfect sense, kill the machine from the outside in!
Although Ron Paul is no longer in the presidential race, he is still trying to change the world. Obama would of went back to being rich as soon as he left the race, and you know that! The only thing he is trying (and probably going) to change is the color of our president...I don't know why people don't understand that he is just trying to sustain America when we need massive change!

Anyway, we both agreed that the most people can really do right now, until there is a majority of realistic human beings in offices around the country, is educate.

It is our duties to the idea that this Country once was to educate it's people about how to enact change and work to make things better.

As a great man once said:

"...I am asking for your help, in the tremendous task of alerting and informing the American people, with the hope that man will be what he was born to be: Free and Independent!"
-John F. Kennedy

On another note, I read something horribly troubling today...
800 miles NorthEast of Hawaii, in between San Francisco and Hawaii, floats a garbage dump TWICE THE SIZE OF TEXAS.
I'm sure you haven't heard of this, but it is a very big deal.
Early scientific reports say that this garbage is being ingested by marine life, as well as greatly polluting the water. What does this mean? Well, if you eat a fish that ate a fish that ate a fish that ate a fish that ate some of this garbage, your children, or yourself may be prone to become infertile or obese, among a laundry lists of health hazards. This is a VERY big deal!

Also, the US government is well aware of this, but refuse to clean it up until they can properly tax the effort...so in other words, they refuse to clean it up until they can profit from doing so...

Yeah...

I guess keeping our Planet from bursting into flames and killing off the human race due to infertality isn't profit in itself...

Maybe it's my priorities that are all out of whack...

.::Maybe::.

P.S. - Atleast I can comfort myself with the knowledge that the human race is doomed no matter what we do, anyway...Maybe that's why things are so bad, people know the end is near and are taking no regard for safety or logic. Want proof that minkind's reign is almost done?!
Check out www.lifeaftertheoilcrash.net !
Our generation will have front row center for the destruction too...thank your parent!

Specifics

1.) Fallen Angel: Episode 1
---- I remember seeing the trailer by Rob Robertson for his portrayal of life after nuclear fall-out almost a decade ago. After that I became a member of Fallen Angel's community, later proving my worth as a flash animator and getting the position of Fallen Angel Animation Assistant. To date I am still the only other animator besides Rob that is working on the film. I was commissioned to do special effects animations such as fire, explosions, smoke, et cetera. We have now been working on the film for over four years now, and we are quickly nearing completion. I am very honored to be a part of this, as I believe it will shake the independent flash animation world! Currently I have 2-4 more scenes to animate effects for, and my contributions will be complete. I will post a link as soon as it goes online!
---- I am hoping that my efforts for Episode 1 will convince Rob to retain my services for Episode 2. I hope that I will also be given more responsibilities, be it helping to develop the story, or doing animation of any kind.

2.) A Day on Colfax
---- I have written and storyboarded this animation, and I am currently in negotiation with a couple voice-actors to help me lay down the vocal tracks for the short animated film. As soon as I have the vocal tracks I can begin roughing out the gestures of the characters, and it will only be a matter of time before it is completed!
---- The story, if there is one, follows the tale of an intoxicated homeless man as he explains a faint memory to a stranger on the street.
---- If things continue to go at the speed they are going, I may be able to complete this animation by the end of Summer 2008.

3.) Life After Death
---- After literally years and years of conception, I have finally begun writing the story I was born to write. It is a screenplay set in the near future during the beginning of the upcoming resource wars, and follows a young man who is simply trying to survive in a world of corruption, greed, and malice. It is, in it's most basic form, a philosophical discussion of perspective within one's life. I will maintain updates here about it's progress.
---- It is far too early to discuss a release window, but as soon as I have an idea I will post it!

4.) Birds on a Wire
---- This is an idea for an original animation which is still in pre-production and conception. The idea is credited to both myself and DJ Frito Procore (Fritz). As soon as I finish A Day on Colfax I will begin production on this short film.

5.) July 24th at Cervantes
---- I will be playing a 30 minute set of progressive folk rock at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on Thursday Night, July 24th at 6:30pm. There's plenty of time, so make sure you get at me to buy your pre-sale tickets!
---- I am hoping to have a few new original songs prepared for this show!

Stay tuned for more soon!

I'm about to finish up my first year at college, and play my next show at Cervantes on May 15!
Make sure to check out the show, it will be a good one!

After this show I will be devoting my time to my band: Maybe & The Natives, so that I might be able to FINALLY launch that.

I know that it takes me months after conceiving an idea to finally get it implemented, but at least I am getting it implemented! Later is better than never, as they say!

But hopefully I will be able to crank out some fresh music with the band quicker than it took to get recorded!
We shall see!

If you want to see it happen fast, make sure you support me at my shows and help me with my Acid Tests** if I call upon you!

Stay tuned for more big things!

-Maybe

**I will be conducting random acid tests with close friends to 'test' the music of the band. This is for quality control. So if you would like to participate in the next Acid Test get at me and we will figure something out. I'm hoping to hold the first one within a month!

Maybe has added yet another song to his list: 'Three Little Birds' by Bob Marley.

And in other news I finally got a hold of the lead guitarist of the Armani Three, who is currently enjoying Chicago. He is going to be the one helping me get my first Demo recorded, and as soon as he gets back in town this train is gonna get moving!

I know I've been saying it for a while, but new content is almost here!

Music Update

1.) New Cover: Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles
2.) I have the $300 needed to record in my pocket! I will finally be getting into the studio to record my 5-song demo ASAP!
3.) Kraftwerk is playing the Fillmore Auditorium on the 28th! Fuck that's gonna be an amazing fucking show!
4.) I love lamp...

Oh, and by the way...a rough song list for the demo is as follows:
Live Fast (original)
Fountains (original)
Handsome Johnny (Richie Havens cover)
Eleanor Rigby (Beatles Cover)
Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd cover)

Monday, March 17, 2008

Musical Update

Maybe has added three new songs to his repertoire:
1.) A Day in the Life (Beatles) - The only difference in this cover is that I dropped a verse from the original.
2.) With a Little Help From my Friends (Beatles) - I left this song alone for the most part. Why try to fix what ain't broken ;)
3.) Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd) - I've slowed it down a little.

General Update

First: Music
1.) I nearly have the $300 needed to record my demo. If everything goes according to plan I should be able to hit the studio in two weeks. That's right...new tracks are almost here, people!
2.) I am still trying to find someone who will let me borrow their amp so that I can jam with the Natives-until I can actually buy one of my own-but it seems that no one I know really plays music...but I will continue my search.
3.) This ties into my need for an amp, because without an amp it is very difficult for us to practice songs (Maybe & The Natives). In other words I can't play over my drummer unless I start throwing my hand around in a crazy fashion...which usually leads to injuries and blood on my guitar. So unfortunately Maybe & The Natives has been temporarily postponed until an amp can be acquired.

Life
1.) I am now finally confident that I will fully recover from my close brush with insanity. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I recently attended Polygamy Productions' outrageous party: Illusions in Sound: Part 2. While I was there I ate a controlled substance, and tripped out harder than I ever have before. I wouldn't trade the experience, as I am now stronger in many ways, but it is taking a long time for me to get back into the swing of everyday life. BUT, I am coming back, and I am remembering things piece by piece. I'm sure I'll be 100% within a week, but the constant exhaustion is still hurting me quite a bit! The funny thing is that sleep just makes me more tired...weird! But rejoice...Jazzy is okay!
2.) I've had to make a domestic change in my life. Let's just say that I woke up from my apathy and realized that I wasn't happy! It's only been a couple of days on my own, but I already feel less stressed and less worried!
3.) I love all of my friends so much! To everyone who called me to see if I was okay, I thank you. It really made me realize how many great people I have in my life!

Other
1.) Midterms are next week :(
2.) Spring Break is in two weeks :)
3.) I have blisters on me fingers!

Thursday, March 6, 2008

Musical Update

It seems that I will be recording earlier than I thought, as money is coming in quicker than expected! This is great news as the faster my demo gets recorded the sooner I can update my MySpace tracks, as well as get other, better gigs! I'm also very excited to hand off a few songs to my good friend DJ Frito so he can remix them...
Big things are coming...
...Big Things...
Oh, and don't forget to get at me for tickets for my April 27th show. I know it's a long ways off, but it's never too early to plan ahead...as the early bird says...

Information of a Musical Manner

Just some updates about Maybe & The Natives:

1. I need to acquire an amp so that my drummer doesn't have such a hard time hearing me...beyond that we are still working on fleshing out our first 'song'.

2. I recently talked to an associate and figured that I can record a 5-song demo, professionally, for $300 bucks. These recordings will be solo acoustic tracks from Maybe. I am hoping to get recorded before the end of April! And, as a nice little pipe-dream, if the band gets some material together perhaps we will go back in and create a demo for the band too.

3. I am trying to plan a time to go to a public place and play some songs sometime soon. I still haven't decided if I want to go to Pearl Street in Boulder, 16th Street in Denver, or if I should just play at Auraria Campus...if you have any suggestions let me know!

4. I'm bored...

5. Maybe has been working on a cover of The Beatles' "With a Little Help From my Friends" as well as trying to finalize the new original song "Fountains".

February 17th at Hi-Dive

So I played my last show for the winter season last night at Hi-Dive...there isn't much to report except that I was told that I played an awesome set...
But, alas, the night was not so awesome for me...
First of all, I showed up late for the band sign-in at 5pm, so I got the last pickings of the timeslots. They originally told me that I'd be playing around 9:30pm. Five hours later, at 10:30pm I finally went on, only to play for a couple of my fans and the bartender...
I hate to sound pompous, but they really should assign the set lists by the quality of the musicians rather than by the quantity of tickets they sold...I played a better show than 3 of the other 7 bands did, and they got to play prime slots! It's partially my fault...but I'm starting to really get sick of being treated like the shitty band of the pack...
My next show is April 27th at Hi-Dive...and I think after that I'm going to tell Big Time Entertainment to fuck themselves right up their dumb, motherfucking asses!
I'm sick of getting screwed! All I want to do is play music for people...is that really so much to ask?!

Thursday, February 14, 2008

The Disclosure Project

I recently ran across a link to an organization known as The Disclosure Project...
The organization is full of both retired and active people in the military, employees of NASA, and many others who want the government to official declassify intelligence regarding UFOs, Alien Life-forms, and Alien Technologies...
First I must say that I have always been very skeptical on the subject of life outside planet Earth...but the logic and reasoning of the science of probability has always kept the thought in the back of my mind. In other words, it's too unlikely that we are the only life in the galaxy, from a scientific standpoint. It also didn't help that every time I heard something about UFOs they were coming from the toothless, slack-jaw of some redneck...not exactly a credible source for information...but the video that I watched was full of EXTREMELY credible people, giving testimonies of what they saw, as well as providing evidence from videos to documentation to tapes. And...I must now say...that I am a believer...I don't expect ANYONE to believe this...but I do hope that you don't mistake skepticism with close-mindedness! Give it a chance, and watch the 1:30 hour taping of the press conference at the National Press Club (NPC).
This is legitimate! We are not alone!
Please watch the film before you decide your opinion...as when I began watching the film, I didn't believe...now I do...
You can check out the organization at: http://www.disclosureproject.org
and you can check out the press conference at the NPC at: http://www.netro.ca/disclosure/npccmenu.htm

Let me know what you think AFTER you watch the film...if I get any mean-spirited comments from non-believers who haven't taken the time to watch the film...I will start a small brush fire in your grandma's panties!

The State of the Political Race...

I was talking with some peers of mine today, and I discovered something absolutely appalling!
I must first say that I do understand that certain subjects shouldn't come up in everyday conversations, namely religion and politics...but I couldn't help myself, and I began discussing the latter.
When I asked who they were going to vote for, or who they support, many simply replied that they want a Democrat in office...when I asked them if they knew which Democrats were still running, only a handful knew. For those that didn't know, I told them: Barrack Obama, and Hillary Clinton.
After telling them, I asked again who they supported. A few dropped out of the conversation because they simply did not care. This is very sad to me, mostly because the main reason that Bush was elected was because people weren't informed, they didn't care, and therefore didn't bother to vote. Not to say that I hold too much faith in the voting system. I'm on the fence with it, actually...half of me want to believe that I have a say in my government, but the other is sick and tired of being fucked right up the ass, and doesn't care anymore. It also doesn't help that I recently watched a press conference where a member of Bush's cabinet admitted that it was possible to fix an election. BUT, I digress...
For the few that stayed in the conversation, some said one, others said the other. I'd like to break this down a little.
For those who said Obama: Majority didn't even know what his policies were...how can you have an opinion if you don't know?! I am going to let the VERY few others who actually knew what he was about slide...but back to those who didn't! It seemed to me that they simply wanted him in office because he was a black man. I will admit that he does have some good policies...but he is far too concerned with national security, rather than personal and civil liberty. Anyway...I am sick of people being so shallow with the subject! They think that just because he is black, it will create change if elected...NOT TRUE! Ethnicity has nothing to do with policy or conduct...it's been thousands of years people...race means NOTHING! A good example is a white man with a 'black mentality'...more popularly known as wiggers...color doesn't make the man! Anyway, I was appalled to learn that people were naive enough to think that just because he is black, that he will create change...If you take a deeper look at his policies...he doesn't really want to change much of anything...besides taxes...
On to Hillary Clinton...I won't summarize what my peers said about her, but it was very similar...most of the supporters were female, and it seemed they only wanted her in office because she was...female...AGAIN, sex doesn't create change...policies do! The shallow, naive stupidity of this belief astounds me!
Here is what I think of Ms. Clinton: She....is....a...NAZI! She is so concerned with national security that she has completely forgotten about our civil liberties...she wants to continue the cycle that was set in motion over 60 years ago where the government's hands just keep getting deeper and deeper into our asses...
First of all...we are all under the impression that we need to protect ourselves...this isn't true...no one is coming to get us...they really aren't! Oh, and if you still think that 9/11 was committed by fundamentalists from the Middle East...GROW UP, stop listening to everything Big Brother tells you, and research it for yourself! A good place to start would be www.zeitgeistmovie.com! Our government did it...it's true! Our government has done if at least three other times...think about it...wasn't it a little convienient for Bush? It was an excuse to go to war...
Anyway, Hillary is a neo-nazi if I ever saw one...She cares about capitalism more than human rights...it's very sad.
What I am really trying to say here, is that every candidate has forgotten what America is really about...for the last 60 years people in power have been trying to turn the 'greatest country in the world' into the 'greatest commercial company in the world'. And I am fucking sick of it...and what is worse is that no one cares...
You need to realize that if we don't take a stand and draw a line in the sand we will wake up one day with computer chips embedded in our bodies, and we won't have the right to take a shit without permission.
But...there is hope...and unfortunately even this small sense of hope isn't 100% awesome...and this glimmer of hope is fading fast, as no one is willing to support it....
Ron Paul, ladies and gentlemen, is a Republican...which I know, is strike one...he also is pro-life...strike two...but that's it...no more strikes can be found by me...every other candidate I've researched has an average of 5 strikes...out of 3...
Ron Paul wants to give us our liberties back, and take the government's hand out of our asses...he also wants to reform the EVIL banking cartels that literally run our country top to bottom...and most importantly...he want to get rid of the IRS, which is the most fucked up, evil company the world has EVER seen.
I am asking your help to get this man elected...and not because he's paying me to say this, but because I truly believe in him...and his is the first candidate I've ever truly supported in my entire life. In the past it's always been a choice between the best of two evils...this man isn't evil! If nothing else, just research him...read his policies...get involved before this democracy swirls into a dictatorship.
Most importantly...VOTE!!!! Even I think that it doesn't count anymore...but I at least still have hope that it might!
If we don't mobilize and take our country back, then the corporations and evil men with money will completely take us over...and then I'll have to move to the Congo to get away from every sort of politics.
I am on my knees begging you to get involved with your country...because believe it or not...if we elect either Barrack or Hillary...this country is going to continue to spiral out of control...and trust me...there IS a point of no return...and it is VERY, VERY close!
Start caring, or move to a country which isn't in a critical point in it's history!
If you aren't helping...you're hurting!
